Environmental dimension installation.
This project’s main idea was based on that line defined above and, in iron curtain phrase, as it was known as the border between two antagonistic worlds during the second half of the 20th century and early 90s, with Soviet Union’s breakup. A rope wall, a curtain that did not let the bodies through, the anguish and love of the beings who were trapped on both sides. Using my image as a prototype, and carrying textures expressly brought from Berlin, I provided twelve different glances that I used to communicate and carry those feelings, questions and emotions that were fragmented between the black cordage. A string’s minimum frontier that did not allow body contact. Only the gaze. Strings scattered on the floor, tangled and trapping the scissors. Scissors that were used to cut those same tendons (dreams and lives) and now buried and useless, but always harmful and bitter. Black and dark lines, that hide a vision, a limit, a reality.
